Hub unit bearings are gaining increasing acceptance in automotive applications and result from the integration to various levels of the bearing wheel hub and knuckle assembly. The level of 'integration results in 'Generations' of bearing assembly.

Examples:
• Generation 1 - essentially a double row angular contact bearing, used to replace a traditional double taper roller arrangement.
• Generation 2 - generation 1 style bearing integrated with wheel flange for use on 'non driving wheels' etc.

Hub unit bearings are also available for integration with vehicle ABS systems and feature external or integrated sensors.

GBC currently offers a limited range of hub assemblies, sourced mainly from our Korean manufacturer - Il Jin Automotive (a QS9000 certified company). Their quality has been recognised extensively in Korea, USA and Europe, and now in Australia through our successful supply arrangements with Ford Australia.
