GBC stocks a range of steel balls in various materials and accuracy. Balls are available in carbon-chrome steel, popularly called 'bearing steel'. These balls are characterised by high hardness (60-66 HRC), high load carrying capability and long life.
Carbon Steel - the most economical material used, these balls are also hardened and ground, and are used in many 'low-load' general purpose applications.
Stainless Steel - typically used where resistance to environmental corrosion is of concern, these are available as standard in grade 420 stainless (a magnetic grade). 308 grade is available upon request. |
