Spherical roller bearings have 2 rows of rollers with a common raceway in the outer ring. The 2 separate inner ring raceways are inclined at an angle to the bearing axis.

These bearings are characterised by their ability to self align and thus able to accommodate misalignment and shaft deflection and bending. Their large number of rollers result in high load carrying capacity and bearings are available with various cages, tapered bores and lubrication grooves.
