Are a thin walled sleeve that is pressed over a worn area of a shaft. Where shaft seals are required and the shaft has worn the seal becomes in-effective and unable to perform it’s function, as the lips of the seal can no longer apply an even surface pressure onto the pitted or grooved and worn surface. This will allow the ingress of foreign materials past the seal lips and the egress of lubricants. This has and adverse effect on the life of the bearing it is meant to protect. The sleeve comes complete with the installation tool and the repair can be done effectively on site without the removal of the shaft in most cases therefore dramatically reducing equipment down time.
